About me

Resized952022051695172043.jpg

I've always loved creating art, whether it's bringing out every detail to render a wild animal in all it's glory, or putting paint to canvas and letting my creativity flow in abstract ways. Each outlet gives me the opportunity to tap into the creativity we all have inside us. This can be very therapeutic and empowering and I love to encourage others to experience it for themselves.

We spend a lot of our day exercising the intellectual side of our brains, like navigating our careers, paying the bills, keeping up with schedules... How often do you exercise the right side of your brain? How often do you let your creativity flow? No matter the outlet, be it art, dance, sculpture, or even landscaping or woodwork, I think it's important to take moments to allow that side of yourself to breathe.  Do you have a creative outlet in your life?

If not, and you're having trouble starting, or you are discouraged because you believe it requires some hidden talent, I am here to tell you that whatever creativity you have inside you, it is enough! Pursue creativity for creativity's sake! The final product isn't just a finished drawing or sculpture, it is the freedom and rejuvenation you feel after you've allowed your mind to create something out of thin air!  The journey itself is where you get the reward. I encourage everyone to jump in and try it. Have fun! Let go of your worries and challenge yourself to just do it. Allow yourself the freedom to make mistakes. Creativity isn't about being perfect, it's about the joy and wonder you feel being creative.  I think you'll find it will bring relaxation and balance to your life if you allow yourself the freedom to experiment and grow.
